FLAGLER ARES WEEKLY TRAINING NET REMINDER.

Please remember to join us this evening at 6:30 PM for the Flagler ARES weekly training net. We meet every Thursday evening at 6:30 PM (minus the second Thursday which is meeting nights and holidays) The net meets on the 147.075/R +600 offset PL Tone 123. There is also an echo link node of 310077.

Flagler ARES welcomes ALL licensed amateur radio operators to check in. You do not have to be a member of any organization to participate in our nets.

Radio Programming reminder. As the ARES net is a tactical training net we may from time to time switch to different frequencies for testing purposes. These may be unannounced and at the NCS discretion.

Please make sure you have all local repeater and simplex frequencies programmed as well as a minimum of a Tri – County area. For example Flagler-Volusia-Saint Johns. These should be programmed at all times in case of deployment and will also allow you to check into neighboring nets.

Bike MS

Just a reminder that Bike MS is less than a month away (Sept 20th-21st). If you want to work the event and haven’t signed up yet there is still time to do so. If you can work all or just some of the event any amount is greatly appreciated.

Also if you have signed up make sure you get in touch with Jason to relay shirt sizes.

Visitor Information For Flagler ARES

Flagler ARES would like to take a minute and welcome you to our website and organization. What is Flagler ARES? Simply put it is an organization comprised of dedicated and trained amateur radio volunteers who are willing to donate time and resources to various agencies and organizations for auxiliary communications. This might be for public service events like Bike MS or for emergency situations where normal communications have become overwhelmed or failed completely.

Flagler ARES meets every second Thursday at 6:30pm. Our meeting location is Florida Hospital Classroom D located by the South Entrance in the Lind Education Center. Florida Hospital is located off of Interstate 95 on State Road 100 West. Flagler ARES welcomes all licensed amateur radio operators to join regardless of club affiliation.

Flagler ARES also holds a weekly tactical training net. We meet every Thursday evening at 6:30pm (minus meeting nights and holiday’s). Our primary repeater at this time is 147.075/R with a +600 offset and a PL Tone of 123. For Echolink users you may use Node 310077. Weekly reminders for nets and meetings are posted in advance.

No Net Tonight !!

Recruiting new membership is important and every ARES member can do their part by reaching out and bringing someone to a meeting so they can see what we are all about!!

FLORIDA D-STAR HURRICANE NET

The Florida D-STAR Hurricane net has been reactivated by Steve Szabo WB4OMM. Please join the net if possible on Reflector 37C and DRATS REF CLF. The net will be every Monday night at 2100hrs local. Net times may be adjusted if weather is threatening the area.

Bike MS Reminder

Just a friendly reminder that Bike MS is less than 2 months away. As those who have worked it in the past know it is a major event lasting several days. We need all the help we can get to ensure that rest stops and other support functions are filled.
